Lelia Hall Lattimore has years of experience as an orchestral harpist, an accompanist, a teacher and freelance musician throughout the region.
She has served as harpist with numerous choral groups and choirs including Asheville Lyric Opera and Asheville Choral Society. She is the founding director of the Blue Ridge Harp Ensemble, which has delighted audiences for 20 years.
Lelia provides private and group lessons in studios in Asheville and the Shelby areas.
As a freelance harpist, she has entertained in many venues, including the Biltmore Estate, Grove Park Inn, Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, High Hampton Inn, Rumbling Bald Resort at Lake Lure, Woodmill Winery, Earl Scruggs Center and the Legrand Center in Shelby.
Lelia enjoys participating in local and regional musical theater. Some of her favorite musicals include “The Fantasticks,” “ South Pacific,” “Quilters,” “Once Upon a Mattress,” “Camelot” and “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” Theater venues include Asheville Community Theater (ACT), Southern Appalachian Regional Theater (SART) and Parkway Playhouse. She also performs with the theater programs at Gardner-Webb University and Western Carolina University. Performances also include touring Broadway shows at the Peace Center.
